Specialist Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Social Workers, Psychologists, High and Complex needs, and more.

Specialist Therapy Assessments & Support

We provide specialist Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy assessments, including:

  • Assessments through interviews and clinical observations
  • Prescribing specialised equipment and training for caregivers
  • Recommending solutions and developing management plans

Individuals supported by our therapy services are over 15 years old and live in the Midland region. They will have an intellectual disability, along with a complex physical and/or sensory disability. We work with individuals, their whaanau/family, and caregivers.

Referrals are made by the person’s Needs Assessor or Enabling Good Lives Connector.

Therapy services can include:

  • Adaptive equipment provision

  • Environmental modifications

  • Mobility assessment

  • Personal care recommendations and education

  • Physical safety review

  • Pressure care assessment

Exclusions: We do not cover acute or short-term needs, specialised wheelchair and seating, school-related or ACC-related needs. If you require further information or have additional questions, please call 07 834 3700 and ask to speak with one of the therapists.
