Supports

We offer housing and living options to suit the unique needs of each person we support.

At Community Living, our approach is guided by Nou te Mana – The Power is Within You.

We believe that true power lies within each person and we are here to support you in living the life you choose.

Our flexible support is designed to adapt to what you want, empowering you to take control of your life within your community. We work with most funding models or ways of providing support such as CiCL (Choices in Community Living), EGL (Enabling Good Lives), SIL (Supported Independent Living), Residential Services, Transitions from School, ACC Living My Life, and so on.

When we talk to you about supports, we’ll first check your funding situation. Then we’d love to discuss the following with you:

  • Tell us about yourself...

We want to understand what's important to you. Guided by Nou te Mana – which means The Power is Within You, we aim to empower you to live the life you choose in your community. We believe you are the expert and we're here to help your dreams become real with flexible support.

  • Who are you close to?

Your family and whānau are vital. We want meaningful partnerships with them. We'll plan with you and your whānau, respecting your cultural values, preferences, and personal identity. We'll support your important relationships.

  • What do you need support with?

We can provide support with living your life in your own way, possibly with support workers. We focus on what you want, using the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles, and can help you engage with the community.

  • What are your goals?

Your goals are central. We're committed to helping you achieve your dreams through increased self-directed planning. We'll focus on personalised outcomes that reflect your aspirations, adapting to your preferences.

  • Do you need support with health and money?

We understand health and financial matters can be important. We can discuss your needs in these areas when creating your individual support plan. Our aim is to ensure you have the information and resources needed to make informed decisions.

  • What support do you need to stay safe?

Feeling safe is key. We'll discuss what helps you feel secure and how we can support that, including Dignity of Risk. We can also develop a tailored Risk Management Plan.
