Planned Respite

Families sometimes need support to recharge and sustain their wellbeing. For over 20 years we’ve partnered with whaanau of children with disabilities to provide flexible, family-centred respite options. Our approach is designed to give families confidence and peace of mind, knowing their child is receiving quality care in a way that respects their routines and preferences.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, our service offers a welcoming environment that feels like part of everyday life. Children can spend time in a supportive setting with peers, maintaining familiar rhythms, building relationships and enjoying meaningful experiences.

Home and Community-Based Support

Our home and community-based support focuses on enabling people to live the life they choose. We work alongside individuals and whaanau to provide personalised support in their homes and local communities, guided by their goals and aspirations. Support can include assistance with daily living and opportunities for social connection, helping people participate in ordinary life and strengthening relationships.

Access to support is through a NASC or an EGL Connector, ensuring a pathway that prioritises self-determination and flexibility.

Home Based Support Hangout (Connection Centre)

The connection centre was created to build social inclusion and connection for young people with disabilities. It’s a welcoming space where youth can build friendships, participate in everyday activities, and strengthen their sense of belonging within the community. Guided by the principles of choice and self-determination, the hangout offers flexible opportunities for engagement that reflect each person’s interests and aspirations, supporting ordinary life outcomes and enhancing wellbeing.

Social Workers

Across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, our experienced social workers deliver vital support to children and their families with a strong focus on early and intensive intervention. Working in close partnership with organisations such as Oranga Tamariki, they provide education, guidance, resources, and tailored care plans that respond to individual needs. We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for every child and whaanau. Referrals are received through Oranga Tamariki.

WISH

In partnership with Oranga Tamariki, this service supports children with disabilities who have high and complex needs. WISH is our tailored funding solution, designed to meet the unique requirements of each individual and their whaanau. Referrals are completed through Oranga Tamariki.
